Richard was born on 17 May 1873 in Gaablau, Schlesien, Germany. He is the eldest son of Ernst and Magdalena Frache.
Richard married Laura Magdalene Johnson Taylor on 21 Oct 1909. He died at the age of 75 on 15 Mar 1949
after suffering several heart attacks during the previous three years in San Fernando, California. He is buried in the
Oakwood Cemetery in Chatsworth, California.
Laura Magdalene Johnson is the daughter of John E. Johson and Lucretia E. Farley. She was born 26 May, 1882 in
Ashland, Wisconsin. She was previously married to George Taylor of Grand Forks, a local fireman. George was born
15 Apr 1868 in Chester, Cheshire, England and died 31 May 1908 in Grand Forks, B.C., Canada. They had three children.
Laura died 24 Jan 1969 in Burbank, California and is buried in the Oakwood Cemetery in Chatsworth, Los Angeles, California.
11 Apr 1910 Richard, Laura and the children moved to Lethbridge, Alberta where Richard became the manager of a second
greenhouse business with the expansion of the greenhouses in Grand Forks. In 1922, Richard and his family
moved to Glendale, California. In 1938, they sold their Glendale property and bought an orange grove near Lindsay, California
where they lived for several years. They then sold the grove and bought a couple of small houses in San Fernando, California,
where Richard opened up a florist business of his own. He fixed the houses for renting and modified the other into a
duplex, living in half and renting the remainder.
